Glenna Humphries
Glenna Humphries is an educator at South Plantation High School in Broward County, Florida where she teaches Advanced Placement American Government and the History of the Vietnam War. Ms. Humphries earned her master’s degree in social studies education at Florida International University. As a James Madison Congressional Fellow, she worked in both the Senate and House of Representatives offices to develop secondary level lesson plans on the Legislative Branch. She is a regular participant with The Bill of Rights Institute, The Liberty Fund, The College Board, and the National Council for the Social Studies.
Peter Pappas
Peter Pappas, creator of Designs for Learning, is an educational consultant with a focus on creating document-based questions. He served as Assistant Superintendent for Instruction for East Irondequoit Central Schools. A veteran teacher, he taught high school social studies for 25 years and served as K-12 Director of Social Studies at Pittsford Central Schools. His award-winning website Teaching with Documents is a leading source on document-based instruction.
